New basic features and updated option bundles will be introduced for the XC90 range in 2024. All three packages are powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder and mated to a responsive 8-speed automatic gearbox. The T5 model comes standard with a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine that generates 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque and is offered in both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) layouts. The T6 model is an upgrade that brings standard all-wheel drive and a supercharger, increasing power and torque to 316 horsepower and 295 pound-feet, respectively.

The Volvo XC90 is available in a wide range of price points, thanks to its flexible engine options, number of seats, and equipment levels. The introductory pricing of a Momentum with a T5 engine starts at $49,000 and rises to $55,600 for the T5 R-Design. Both have an all-wheel-drive option for an additional $2,000. A Volvo XC90 T6 Momentum will set you back $56,950 for the seven-seater and $57,450 for the six-seater, while the T6 R-Design will set you back $62,650. Pricing for a seven-seat T6 Inscription begins at $63,250, with a six-seater going for an additional $500. Priced from $63,450 for the base Recharge Expression model to $69,150 for the Recharge R-Design and $69,750 for the Recharge Inscription, the plug-in hybrid Recharge is available in three different trim levels. There is an additional $500 for a six-seater. Volvo’s $995 destination fee to purchase every vehicle does not factor into the sticker price, nor do any incentives or potential tax refunds that may be applicable to the hybrid model. Volvo’s reborn XC90 will debut as a brand-new vehicle in June 2023.
